AUNTIE is a one man show focusing on the lives of a dysfunctional but vibrant Hackney family consisting of Auntie, the overbearing, religious ‘Kengerian’ mother of Mtoto, her long-suffering gay son.

The show mixes personal experience with verbatim anecdotes to create a tragicomedy that sends an audience on a rollercoaster between uncontrollable laughter and deep empathy for the plight of the two characters. The play has been featured on BBC 3 and has been presented at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2017, receiving a glowing review from The Guardian and the Scotsman.
